This study revolves around eight factors that could be barriers to the online student and 11 independent variables that play into these factors. She studies the outcomes of online learners and why there are differences in outcomes depending on the individual student. A pilot study and a main study were completed. Statistics were provided via tables and then the author explained the implications of those statistics. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected for the study. The article ended with recommendations for further research.
